There are definitely some Tactics’ posts where I find myself pondering how to approach my commentary. Just where do I start with a post that contains one quote, has a link to one video (now removed for violating You Tube’s terms of service), and concludes with Scripture?
Regardless, let’s look at the opening quote:
“If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck” (The Duck Test).
According to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duck_test):
“The duck test is a form of abductive reasoning. This is its usual expression:
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
The test implies that a person can identify an unknown subject by observing that subject’s habitual characteristics. It is sometimes used to counter abstruse, or even valid, arguments that something is not what it appears to be.”
As for the video, which can still be found on You Tube, the intent of the cartoon was to educate children about the role of the President of the United States. Daffy Duck thinks that if he becomes president, he can actually be a king, or a ruler supreme. Bugs Bunny becomes the educator and tells Daffy that he’s got it all wrong.
Ruler or King? Yes, I can see why Tactics chose this video to ask the question of how to tell if Calvary Temple leader Star R. Scott is a False Teacher or a Prophet. Anyone who is familiar with Bob Scott, can tell you that Bob calls himself an Apostle, a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a Prophet, and a Teacher, yet his actions and character speak to other titles. Such as Wolf, False Teacher, Anti-Christ, Pedophile, Abuser of Children, Destroyer of Families, Manipulator of Lives, and so on.
If we apply the Duck Test to Bob Scott, He “looks” like a “prophet/pastor”, he “swims” or “walks” like a “prophet/pastor”, and he “quacks” or “squawks” or “talks” like a “prophet/pastor” – then we should deduce/conclude that he is a “prophet/pastor.”
Right?
I mean…that’s what Bob Scott wants everyone to believe, that’s for sure!
Hmmm…
Bob Scott’s track record actually tells a different story. If you haven’t seen the local news reports, watched the videos, read the countless personal accounts, criminal allegations and investigations – all about Bob Scott and Calvary Temple members that have been published and recorded over the past 10 years, you can brush up for your “Duck Test” by exploring the links and the documents here:
See for yourself. Read the testimonies and stories. Watch the countless videos. Then make a determination as to if you would feel safe in the confines of Calvary Temple, or to have your children around men like Bob Scott and Kevin O’Connor.
As for me? I regret ever stepping onto that God-forsaken property.
I’ll end this particular commentary by changing up the Duck Test.
Let’s rename it to the Wolf Test:
If it looks like a wolf, bites like a wolf, devours and consumes like a wolf, connives and manipulates like a wolf, then it probably is a wolf.
I’ll let you decide.
BTW – The wolf hunts and destroys the “sitting” duck every single time.
