If This Is the Fruit… (6/21/15)

โ€œI know fruit when I see it.โ€ Those words sound confident โ€” but do we really understand what biblical fruit is? Is fruit success? A polished image? Nice cars? Well-spoken members? A ministry that appears impressive from the outside? Jesus said, โ€œWherefore by their fruits ye shall know themโ€ (Matthew 7:20). Fruit is not measured by appearance, reputation, or the ability to defend a man. True fruit reveals what is being produced within: truth, righteousness, humility, repentance, and the character of Christ. So, when someone declares, โ€œThis is good fruit,โ€ we must ask: What fruit are we actually looking at? Because if this is the fruit being celebrated, then the question remains: Come on, Bob... did someone really say that?

We R At Our Best When We R Brainless (Duh) (6/18/15)

One statement from the pulpit at Calvary Temple has stayed with me for more than a decade: the idea that the ideal Christian mind is one "in neutral." That isn't biblical. It's dangerous. In today's commentary, I explain why God never asks His people to stop thinkingโ€”and why discouraging critical thinking is one of the defining characteristics of high-control religious groups. The same God who gave us faith also gave us a mind. He expects us to use both. #exposecalvarytemple

Inconceivable

After more than a year away, MCTTBC is back. Sometimes God brings us away from a place for a season, only to bring us back at the appointed time. As I returned to Tactics of Calvary Temple, I found myself looking again at a 2015 post centered around one word: โ€œInconceivable.โ€ But what happens when people believe their actions will never be uncovered? What happens when silence, secrecy, and misplaced loyalty allow things to continue? Godโ€™s Word is clear: what is hidden will be revealed. Join me as we unpack Tactics of Calvary Templeโ€™s June 17, 2015 post โ€” and the reminder that no one is beyond the reach of Godโ€™s truth, justice, and call to repentance.

Obey the Prophets and Prosper (6/16/15)

Bob Scott, the leader of Calvary Temple, is no ordinary โ€œpastor.โ€ He isnโ€™t your typical seeker-friendly preacher, nor is he an obvious wolf. Thatโ€™s the problem. At first glance, Calvary Temple appears pristineโ€”immaculate grounds, well-mannered congregants, and a tightly orchestrated environment where everyone adheres. Bob Scott presents himself as a โ€œWord Onlyโ€ pastor, seemingly above gimmicks or games. Yet, make no mistakeโ€”no one walks away uncertain about who is in control. And that is the point of this Tactics piece.

Broken Pieces and The Carpenter

This is not my typical blog post. While I do have two pages dedicated to The Good News and Encouragements, I want to get straight to the point today without a lengthy introduction. To start, I subscribe to Rabbi and Pastor Jonathan Cahn's daily (Monday through Friday) devotions. Like clockwork, these devotions arrive in my … Continue reading Broken Pieces and The Carpenter

PASTOR SAYS WE R BEING PERSECUTED – YOU DECIDE (6/8/15)

In this newest edition, I am not going to take too much time away from Tactics' emphatically moving post from June 8, 2015, PASTOR SAYS WE R BEING PERSECUTED - YOU DECIDE. When you look at persecution in the world, particularly against Christians and Jews, you have to wonder if Star Robert (Bob) Scott actually … Continue reading PASTOR SAYS WE R BEING PERSECUTED – YOU DECIDE (6/8/15)

Brother Let Me Be Your Shelter – Jesus (Psalm 31:3) (6/3/15)

To continue from my post on February 6, 2024, 2 + 2 = 5, regarding gaslighting in the Church and Calvary Temple, I think that there are many people out there who donโ€™t believe that this is happening and will disregard my warning. Many will say that gaslighting doesnโ€™t happen to Christians. Unfortunately, gaslighting does … Continue reading Brother Let Me Be Your Shelter – Jesus (Psalm 31:3) (6/3/15)
