My Precious (8/7/15)

What happens when a man's wishes are treated as God's commands? When questioning him becomes rebellion, and family members who raise concerns are suddenly threats to your faith? My August 7, 2015, commentary on Tactics of Calvary Temple's โ€œMy Preciousโ€ examines the power, control, and spiritual consequences behind those questions. Having experienced Calvary Temple from the inside, I know these concerns are not something to brush aside. When a leader's authority is treated as unquestionable, what happens to those who dare to challenge it? Bob Scott, you are not Godโ€”and people who dare to question you aren't going away.

Sleep My Beauties – Sleep (08/01/15)

Oh, Bob. REALLY? An invitation to come speak with the pastors sounds reasonable enough, doesn't it? But when serious questions have been raised, a public display of concern doesn't automatically answer those questionsโ€”or establish who is truly being held accountable. And then there's something else I discovered while revisiting this 2015 Tactics post. I went looking for Calvary Temple's archived teachings from around that time, hoping to listen to them again for myself. What did I find? Years of missing recordings. Entire stretches of time with no teachings available in the online archives. And YouTube? Scrubbed, too. Well, well, well. Gee. I wonder why? That's a rhetorical question, by the way. When questions are raised, accountability matters. When the historical record is missing, that matters, too. And when people are expected to trust without questioning, we'd better take a closer look. SLEEP, MY BEAUTIES. SLEEP. Not everybody is going to stay asleep.

DO IT! (7/30/15)

โ€œDO IT!.โ€ Donโ€™t question. Donโ€™t think. Let Pastor think for you. That was the warning written by Tactics of Calvary Temple back in 2015. Eleven years later, Iโ€™m looking at those words very differentlyโ€”not because the warning has become less relevant, but because Iโ€™ve lived enough to understand what those words were really saying. People HAVE been warned. The testimonies are there. The documents are there. The firsthand accounts are there. The evidence is there. And yet, when youโ€™re deceived, you donโ€™t know youโ€™re deceived. You can be absolutely convinced that you know the truthโ€”and still refuse to listen to the people trying to warn you. So maybe the question isnโ€™t, โ€œWho are the haters?โ€ Maybe the question is: โ€œWhat if theyโ€™re telling the truth?โ€ Tactics was warning people in 2015. Iโ€™m still warning people in 2026.
