Tactics second post wasn’t until January 9 of the new year, 2014. I don’t mean to repeat myself, but because I truly can’t remember when I discovered the Tactics of Calvary Temple blog, I don’t remember when I started sharing them on Facebook. I guess in the long run, it really doesn’t matter.
You will notice that Tactics’ early blog posts were structured differently – no mysterious prose, no videos, and Scripture was used as part of the body of the post.
Regardless, this was an excellent Tactics, one which we ex-CTers reveled in. Why? Because it’s the truth. There are no supporting stats for this next statement, but I would venture to say that at least 98-99% of every single person who has ever left Calvary Temple has had their character assassinated by that wolf, Bob Scott. I literally can think of maybe two people/couples who escaped with their reputation in tact. There may be more, but after 40+ years of this cult’s existence, I am hard pressed to think of more names or circumstances. It just doesn’t happen.
False pastor, Bob Scott thinks nothing of standing in his faux pulpit using it to lie and gossip about people who leave. He does this for control; to control his dwindling congregation. He either, literally, makes stuff up, or he tweaks, adds to, takes away, from the truth. And what’s left of the congregation, because they are brainwashed, will sit on the edge of their seats, waiting for the next installment, shaking their heads in sadness thinking to themselves, “Oh what a shame. He/she was such a faithful Christian. I can’t believe that they’ve left the Lord.” See what Bob just did there? Just because you leave Calvary Temple, now you’ve left the Lord. Powerful!
I hate to do this, but I will give that pervert props…it is a very effective tactic. His lies destroy families and relationships. If your son, daughter, brother, sister, grandchildren, friends are still in CT, they won’t have anything to do with you. And you know what that is in God’s eyes? Evil. Sinister. Sin.
I will take one exception with Tactics 2nd installment, and a trifling one at that. In his/her last sentence of the first paragraph you’ll find this sentence: When someone leaves the church there is quite often a good reason, but the pastors don’t want truth to be known.
Quite often? How about every single time someone leaves CT, it is for a good reason! Even if that reason is two young adults who want to marry and BS won’t allow the marriage, which I am thinking would be the only reason that someone might think or feel it isn’t a “good” reason… Seriously? Who cares?!?!?! Calvary Temple is an abusive cult! If ANYONE leaves that God-awful place, it is ALWAYS for a GOOD REASON!
What is difficult to hear is when people go back!!! (But that subject is for another blog post, perhaps.)
The bottom line will always be: Calvary Temple is an abusive cult. Bob Scott is a liar, a gossip, a predator, a wolf, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. We will never stop speaking out about this place and the dangers it presents to you and your family. Please, for the love of God, and for the safety of your family, never step foot onto CT property. It is a blight on the Sterling, VA community, and I pray that today is the day that place ceases to exist.
