Hello everyone!
It’s good to be back!
As I posted a few days ago, it has been a while since I last wrote here. It wasn’t because I felt a release from this ministry, and it wasn’t because I walked away. No. It had everything to do with where the Lord had me, and to some extent, where He still has me.
As I said, so much has gone on in my life since we last met. I’ve linked my last post here so you can get a brief update on where I’ve been and what the Lord has been doing.
I’ve looked at Tactics of Calvary Temple often over the last year, and I sometimes find it amazing that I left off right here — with this post from Tactics, posted on June 17, 2015. This post included a clip from one of my all-time favorite movies, The Princess Bride, along with some of my favorite parts of the movie, specifically those surrounding the word inconceivable.
Getting right back into it, Tactics doesn’t say a lot in his introduction to the video clip, but what is said is packed with meaning.
Tactics writes:
“No one knows what we’ve done.” Um…yup. We do. And it’s inconceivable that so many have let you get away with it all for years. Chuck, Richard and Janet left you unexposed. Inconceivable. It boggles the mind. How did you buy their silence, pastor? With your millions tucked away in cozy corners of the world? Free legal assistance anyone? A nice car, some pretty jewels ladies? This is not going away. Ugh, it’s getting weirder and uglier. Sigh. From my lowly viewpoint, REPENTANCE is the only way out of this inconceivable mess.
Let’s unpack this.
First off, Tactics is saying that Bob Scott and his henchmen falsely believe that no one knows what Bob Scott has done. They think that they have gotten away with their sin — or at least, Bob believes he has gotten away with his sin — and that certain men and women have helped conceal what happened.
It would be inconceivable for anyone to find out.
But God!
Tactics is saying that Calvary Temple members, as well as the Sterling area and surrounding suburbs, know.
Bob, Tactics is saying that everyone knows.
Everyone.
Everyone who has ears to hear and eyes to see… they know.
All of the neighbors. All of Sterling. All of the surrounding Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
Everyone knows, Bob.
They know.
To understand what Tactics is referring to here, we need to look back at some of the history surrounding Calvary Temple.
So, just who are Chuck, Richard, and Janet?
Chuck and Richard are former pastors who left Calvary Temple (CT) around the same time that we were protesting against CT. Each man had been at Calvary Temple, serving as pastors under Bob Scott since they were young adults. Each had been there for decades.
Each had played a role in decisions or edicts handed down by Bob Scott, ensuring and enforcing that these decisions were carried out — proclamations that caused family division, divorces, separations, shunning of members (including children), “rebellious” children being put out of their homes, and other serious accounts, including serious allegations regarding sexual assault.
I believe these men knew — and still know. Each had an active role in the disciplinary actions that took place within and outside of Calvary Temple. And when God opened Chuck’s and Richard’s eyes, they left CT.
Most egregious to me is their silence.
Neither has ever stood up or spoken up.
Ever.
So.
The abuse continues even until now.
Perhaps had they said something… anything… maybe, just maybe, others wouldn’t have been hurt. Many families might still be intact. Many marriages might have survived. Maybe others would have left.
Janet was Bob Scott’s first wife. And as recounted by her son, she knew of her husband’s sexual assaults on her sister’s daughters and never spoke up.
She knew.
But she didn’t want to lose all of the money, fame, and glory that her husband’s ministry was bringing to her.
She died carrying those secrets with her.
Secrets since exposed.
And Chuck actively tried to stop Bob and Janet’s email from being read by members of Calvary Temple.
There will be an accounting one day soon.
Tactics ends his brief introduction by questioning what could have bought the silence of these three people.
I’ve already stated what I believe motivated Janet Scott. What bought Chuck and Richard’s silence?
I hope that it was worth it, gentlemen.
I’m quite certain that it will not have been.
Especially on Judgment Day.
Oh.
And that wonderful clip from The Princess Bride?
Perhaps Bob, Janet, Chuck, Richard, Kevin, and countless others thought it was “inconceivable” that they would ever be caught.
But God always uncovers and exposes sin.
Why?
Because He is a holy and just God, and sin has no place — especially in His Church!
Why?
Because His Word says so.
Luke 12:2
“But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.”
Ecclesiastes 12:14
“For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.”
Bob.
You should know better.
After all, you say that you are serving God.
Hmmm…
Keep your distance from Bob Scott and Calvary Temple, located in Sterling, VA.
To Bob Scott:
Bow the knee, Bob.
Publicly admit what you’ve done.
Be a man and accept the consequences.
Jesus is faithful and just to forgive you.
BUT.
You must take yourself off of your man-made pedestal.
HUMBLE YOURSELF.
I would advise you to do this sooner rather than later.

There are many wonderful churches in the area, specifically Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, VA.
If you value your family and the lives of your children, if you value your own life — STAY AWAY FROM CALVARY TEMPLE.
Please.
Do not let your name be added to Bob Scott’s ever-increasing list.
