When Wisdom Cries in the Streets, Darkness Takes Notice
Tactics writes in this post from June 25, 2015, It’s Tragic:
“…but everything we say this morning gets put out [there] and it’s tragic.” C’mon Pastor, we’ve pointed out your excessive, compulsive habit of exaggeration. Everything? Surely not. Look at how merciful God is to you, he could strike you dead in the pulpit for lying again. Just like you’ve been asking him to do to us. He has only exposed your sins (on the rooftop so to speak.) Those around you will hear and fear. Because you have rejected the men and women who rebuked you for your sins/coverup – now God exposes and mocks you. All who lie for you will know that God is no respecter of persons. You have corrupted the Word of God for personal gain. You are destroying the heritage of the Lord. You lie and walk in darkness. Your deeds are evil.
“…its tragic.” Huh? What? Do you understand the Gospel? We are to walk in the light. Openly. Honestly. Our deeds made manifest before men, so we can see whether or not they are wrought in God. Hiding, secrets, darkness, are tools of the devil. And as far as “spies” goes, God doesn’t need ’em. He is omni-present. Remember?
But God says, “Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil” (Proverbs 1:23-33).

It is fascinating how God weaves things together.
As I began my 31-day journey through the Book of Proverbs on my Becoming Still channel, I knew I wanted to revisit a Tactics piece written in June of 2015.
What caught my attention was the Scripture used throughout that piece.
Proverbs 1.
The very chapter I was beginning to study today.
The timing is remarkable.
Perhaps some would call that coincidence. I do not.
Proverbs 1 is not a soft chapter. It is a chapter about wisdom calling out. It is about correction being offered. It is about people who refuse instruction and then discover that rejecting wisdom has consequences.
And that brings us to this statement:
“But everything we say this morning gets put out [there] and it’s tragic.”
Tragic?
That word deserves examination.
Because according to Scripture, truth is not tragic.
Truth is liberating.
Jesus said:
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)
So why would a ministry broadcasting its message publicly be a tragedy?
Isn’t that what the Church is commanded to do?
Go into all the world. Preach the Gospel. Proclaim the truth.
Openly.
Honestly.
In the light.
Tactics’ response was pointed, and he certainly was not interested in sparing feelings. But the question he raised remains a legitimate one:
If everything is above reproach, why fear everything being seen?
Jesus Himself explained the difference between those who walk in truth and those who walk in darkness:
“For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light…” (John 3:20-21)
The light does not harm what is righteous.
The light reveals what is there.
That is why Proverbs 1 is so powerful.
God says:
“Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.” (Proverbs 1:23)
Notice the order.
First comes the call.
Then comes the correction.
Then comes the choice.
God does not immediately bring judgment. He first offers wisdom. He first extends His hand. He first calls people to turn.
But what happens when correction is continually rejected?
“Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded…” (Proverbs 1:24)
Eventually, people must face the fruit of their own choices.
“Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.” (Proverbs 1:31)
This is where I believe Tactics was going with this piece.
The issue was never simply YouTube.
The issue was transparency.
The issue was accountability.
The issue was whether a ministry claiming to represent Jesus Christ is willing to stand openly before examination.
Years ago, Calvary Temple broadcast their Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening services live on YouTube. However, approximately 11 years ago, those live broadcasts stopped. Their older recorded videos remain available on their YouTube channel, but their services are no longer streamed live as they once were.
I cannot speak to every reason behind that decision.
But I can ask a question that every ministry should welcome:
Why would the light ever be a threat?
A ministry that belongs to Christ should have no fear of truth.
No fear of accountability.
No fear of examination.
Because God’s work does not require darkness to survive.
Secrets, concealment, and a refusal to answer legitimate questions are not characteristics of the ministry of Jesus Christ.
Our Savior walked openly.
He taught openly.
He lived openly.
The Gospel was never meant to be hidden.
And Proverbs 1 ends with a promise:
“But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.” (Proverbs 1:33)
Wisdom is still crying in the streets.
The question is:
Who is listening?
A Final Warning Regarding Calvary Temple
As I have stated previously, I continue to urge caution regarding Calvary Temple and its leadership.
Please do not accept my words — or anyone else’s words — without examining the evidence and searching the Scriptures for yourself.
Test everything.
Compare everything against the Word of God.
A true shepherd points people to Jesus Christ.
A true shepherd welcomes truth, correction, and accountability.
The warning of Scripture remains:
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God…” (1 John 4:1)
Your soul is too valuable to place your trust in any man or ministry without discernment.
Seek Christ.
Seek truth.
Walk in the light.
