Good is Evil and Evil is Good (2/27/2014)

I hope that you have your seatbelts on when you read this Tactics post. Not quite three months old in February 2014, it only took Tactics 11 posts from the end of December ’13 to the end of February ’14, to get to the nitty gritty of the atrocious sins and acts of the cult of Calvary Temple, Sterling, VA.

I will say that I find it curious that Tactics seems more concerned about the “imbalance” and “double standards” applied within this cult, and yes, this is truly a big concern – and one of Bob’s most manipulative tactics – but to me…that “unusual amount of sexual sins in our church [cult]” should have received a tad more attention, don’t you think?

But, let’s go ahead with Tactics’ points:

• many of these sins have been excused and covered up
• perhaps this is largely based on your position in the church.
• However, if you are on the “non-favorites” list, watch as the hammer falls with righteous indignation.
• Considering how vigilantly we guard ourselves against the leaven, it is miraculous how many repeat offenders are considered Godly, and how many good people have been purged and shunned.
• The double standards repeatedly used at Calvary Temple regarding sexual immorality is an abomination to the Lord and in no way lines up with Scripture.

Allow me to translate what Tactics is saying. Bob Scott is a pedophile and should not be a pastor anywhere; he belongs in jail. However, because he has no oversight in his little kingdom, he can do what he wants. He can tell the congregants that it was simply an extra-marital affair and that he’s been forgiven, and the people swallow that tripe hook, line, and sinker.

Additionally, as Tactics points out, “Current and past accusations of immorality, homosexuality, extramarital affairs, molestation, and pornography have pervaded the church…”, and if I might add, this is only the tip of the iceberg. And I am talking about from the head on down to the peon, all Tactics lists and worse, has happened and continues to happen to this day.

The hypocrisy in Calvary Temple is staggering. What Tactics writes is spot on. What happens to both the perpetrator AND the victim when these “little indiscretions” occur absolutely depends on “Who You Are” within the hierarchy of the Calvary Temple Cult. If you are favored, well, a slap on the wrist seems just fine. But if you aren’t in that sanctimonious inner circle of Bob and Co., you can just consider yourself destroyed, because you will receive NO mercy from Bob. None.

What a stinking hellhole Calvary Temple is.

Tactics puts it a little gentler than me, “The double standards repeatedly used at Calvary Temple regarding sexual immorality is an abomination to the Lord and in no way lines up with Scripture.”

Abomination. That’s more like it.

Calvary Temple is not only an abusive cult, but it permeates with a sensual spirit. As Tactics said in the first sentence, “Most unusual is the amount of sexual sins…” Yes, highly unusual.
