Regardless of how you feel about marriage and/or divorce, you’ve got to admit that the Calvary Temple Cult’s marriage/divorce track record is dismal, at best.
Out With the Old and In With the New
Tactics, in this very telling blog post from October 9, 2014, writes:
“Pastor likes divorce. He encourages divorce. The Bible text that he cites to push divorce among us is Isaiah 50:1, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Where is your mother’s certificate of divorce, with which I sent her away? Or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you Behold, for your iniquities you were sold, and for your transgressions your mother was sent away.‘” Fact: at pastor’s directive there are currently over two dozen men and women who have divorced and/or are in the process of separating/divorcing from their spouses. Question: either there is a great deal of adultery in our church, and it is not as holy and God-fearing as we promote, or pastor is unscripterally using divorce to control people and bind them to himself. Removing all obstacles (people) that stand in his way.”
Let’s stop at Tactics’ first two sentences:
“Pastor LIKES divorce.”
“Pastor ENCOURAGES divorce.”
(emphasis added by me)
Then Tactics follows with this paraphrased statement of fact:
Wolf Bob Scott uses the Bible to justify his treacherous, destructive, and sinful actions.
I will 100% stand behind what Tactics says about this. I know first-hand the truth of these statements, my marriage destroyed because of the actions of false shepherd Bob Scott and the blind followers who do his bidding.
Calvary Temple first rushes people into marriage (engaging two people who hardly know each other, let alone love one another; encouraging extremely short engagements; meddling in their private lives – including their sex lives), and then when one or both in the ill-fated union begin acting “differently” (and by “differently” I mean that one of the two finally begins to see what a farce Calvary Temple is, that it is an abusive and authoritative place, not a church), Bob’s solution is to separate, cast out, and subsequently, divorce.
Tactics continues:
“Fact: at pastor’s directive there are currently over two dozen men and women who have divorced and/or are in the process of separating/divorcing from their spouses.”
“…over two dozen…”
What???
Folks, Calvary Temple is NOT a large congregation. In fact, it has shrunk mightily since this was written in 2014. AND, I am certain that the number “two dozen” has grown.
How can such a relatively small number of supposed “Godly Christian people” have such a high number of divorces?
Statistics would say that there is something wrong in paradise, wouldn’t you say?
As usual, Tactics sums the piece up perfectly using a rhetorical question:
“Question: either there is a great deal of adultery in our church, and it is not as holy and God-fearing as we promote, or pastor is unscripterally using divorce to control people and bind them to himself. Removing all obstacles (people) that stand in his way.”
I think that the answer is right here for all to see…that is, all who have eyes to see:
Wolf Bob Scott is, “unscripturally using divorce to control people and bind them to himself. Removing all obstacles (people) that stand in his way.”
SHAME ON YOU, Bob Scott
I tell you, if I had a dime for every time that I sit here writing my commentary and I wind up shaking my head in disbelief and disgust, I’d most likely be a millionaire.
Bob Scott, you are a manipulative charlatan who has no regard for anyone but yourself. Keep it up, Bob. God knows and He sees who and what you are, and what you are doing. Repent now. Go to every single person you have harmed. Ask for forgiveness. Turn yourself into the authorities in both Loudoun County, VA, and in California. Then, and only then, is there a hope for your soul.
People of Loudoun County, I will continue to warn; I will continue to speak out. You, your family, your marriage…none of it is safe if you choose to venture into Calvary Temple, located on Triple Seven Rd in Sterling, VA.
Please do not enter. Ever.
